Matt & Katie Get Married

We have been waiting a long time for this day... Our close friends Matt and Katie tied the knot at the Surf & Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach. It was a sunny beach day without a cloud in the sky, the perfect day for a wedding. The ceremony was gorgeous and the reception was a blast! We couldn't be happier for our best friends.

Grandpa Chuck turns 65!

We spent the weekend down in San Diego with nearly all of Eric's family. The Meyer clan had rented a fantastic beach house right on the sand as part of their summer vacation, and hosted a birthday bash for Chuck. I think Lesley counted 25 family and friends that were present. We had beautiful weather, and a wonderful time visiting with everyone, playing beach volleyball, and enjoying the water.

Summer Fun

A beautiful summer day spent BBQing and swimming at Nanny and Grandpa's house. Blake did great in the pool again. And he had his cousin, Aiden, to show him how to swim.

Blake at 2 Months

Blake is 2 months old already, and we can't believe it! Our little man is really coming into his own. He is a very happy baby as long as he has had plenty to eat and plenty of sleep.

Blake had a doctor's appointment and 7 weeks, and his stats were astounding... He weighed in at 12lb. 6oz. which puts him in the 68 percentile for his age. And he was 24 inches long which puts him in the 96 percentile for height. USC football here we come!

Other cool new developments in Blake's world this month:

• He is "cooing" up a storm. He loves to try to talk to Mommy and Daddy, and often the ceiling fan. 
• He is able to do a quarter turn, and get stuck on his side. 
• He loves to smile and laugh when you make faces at him. 
• He is trying desperately to figure out how to suck his thumb, but only finds it occasionally.
