Gavin Joseph Ward is here!

Gavin Joseph Ward entered the world at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano at 8:51am on March 8th, 2016. Gavin was 7 lbs. 15 ounces and 20.5 inches long. 

The delivery was quick. We arrived at the hospital just before 6am. He scared us for just a minute when we saw his cord wrapped around his neck three times, but the doctor took care of it quickly and he was perfectly fine.

Blake and Nanny came to visit us in the hospital, and it is safe to say that Blake is over the moon for his brother. He was thrilled to hold him, and look at his little fingers and toes. 

Cousins Visit the Gaylord Texan at Christmas

With all of Michelle's family in town, we decided to take the kids to the Gaylord Texan. They enjoyed inner tubing down the snow, having snowball fights, making gingerbread cookies, and being crazy boys together.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is here, and there is magic in the air! We took care of all the important business... Sprinkling reindeer food in the front yard, putting out milk and (texas-shaped) cookies for Santa, reading The Night before Christmas, and hanging the stockings. 

Ice Skating

Blake had been asking to go ice skating for awhile. So, we went for it on Christmas Eve. Eric did most of the work holding Blake up on the ice, but Blake had an awesome time!

Halloween

One holiday...Two costumes!

First Blake featured his Ironman costume at the POP Trunk or Treat, then he opted for Captain America for the big day. We enjoyed hosting a little Halloween get together at our house and trick or treating in our neighborhood. The kids all had a blast!

Soccer Season

Blake played in his first season of an organized sport this year. Blake told us that he really wanted to play soccer, so we signed him up in a program that does a "practice" and then game every Sunday. Blake really enjoyed it and was happy to play as much as he could every game, but never really picked up the concept of trying to score a goal. Instead he was happy to just run back and forth on the field with all the kids. He even earned the Sportsmanship award the very first week of the season!
