We spent time in beautiful California for Christmas. We celebrated at Nanny and Pop-Pop's house with David, Theresa, Aiden, and Ryan. But it wont be long before another little boy is added into the mix. Theresa is expecting in April!

First Christmas in Texas
We moved into our new home just in time for Christmas. This didn't allow much time for decorating, but we did manage to get a tree up. Blake understands a lot more about the holiday this year, like who Santa is and that he is going to get presents. But, not enough that we couldn't open gifts early to accommodate our trip to California.

Grand Prairie Lights 2014
We read about the Grand Prairie Lights and decided to check it out. It did not disappoint! It is an enormous light display that you drive your care through, and we can get out at the half way point for snacks and to visit Santa. It was awesome, we will definitely be going back!

Halloween
Blake's third Halloween, and he opted for a Spiderman costume. We went trick or treating in what will soon be our new neighborhood and had a great time. Nanny and Pop Pop even came out for the Halloween fun.

We found a new house!
We found a house that we love in Castle Hills. It is nearly completed, but we will still have a chance to choose some features: paint, tile, back splash, etc.
Move in should be just before Christmas. We are so excited!

Irvine Park Pumpkin Patch
On our visit home to California, we went to the Irvine Park Pumpkin Patch. Blake had a great time. His favorite part was the popcorn;)

Little Elm Beach
We spent a warm afternoon at the Little Elm Beach at Lake Lewisville. Blake loved it, and mommy liked that the water was really warm. But then someone mentioned that there are "lake snakes" there...Yikes!

Our First Rodeo
YeeHaw! We decided to fully immerse ourselves in Texas culture as soon as possible. So when we googled things to do in Dallas this weekend, and a rodeo popped up we couldn't resist.
It was very fun, and Blake really loved it. We learned a few things while there...boots are the appropriate footwear (not the sandals we were in), and we learned what "mutton busting" is. For those that don't know, it is a rodeo contest where children ride on the back on sheep for as long as possible.
We also enjoyed the beer, popcorn, and pony rides!
