Blake at 11 months old

Our baby is eleven months old now. He has been so much fun lately. He continues to grow into his own person, and it is amazing to watch.

He is freakishly strong, and showing a strong desire to climb... a truly dangerous combination! So we spend a lot of our time trying to make sure our little explorer doesn't get his first head injury before his first birthday.

Over the last month, Blake has:

• learned to walk around the entire family room while holding on to furniture, even making to leap from coffee table to couch.
• learned to say Mama and Dada to the correct person.
• developed a friendship with Bailey (based primarily on feeding her his food).
• continued to enjoy swim lessons.
• learned to stand unsupported. 

Zoomar's Petting Zoo

I heard about this place from a friend... a petting zoo where the kids are allowed to play and feed the animals(like inside the animal pens). So, I thought it would be fun to check out. Blake is probably still a little young to appreciate it, but he seemed to be interested in the guinea pigs.

Blake is 10 Months Old!

Oh My Gosh! 10 months already!

Our little man is now really becoming a little man. Scary. He now really looks like a toddler more than a baby...I can't believe it!

Over the last month, Blake has:

• a total of 3 teeth (all on bottom)
• learned to take a few steps to the side while holding on to furniture
• become very curious about everything (especially things that can hurt him)
• crawl at the speed of light

With the spring in the air, and summer just around the corner, we decided to enroll Blake in some swim lessons. We've got one lesson under our belt, and it was so much fun. Blake really seems to like the water.

Blake at 9 Months

Where has the time gone? I feel like we are closing in on a first birthday soon (too soon).
This last month Blake seems to have "grown up" a lot. He is becoming so independent, and daring. He wiggles right out of your arms, and will make a death-defying leap(fall) to reach anything that catches his eye.

This was a big month of new developments. Blake can now:

• Pull up to a standing position
• Drink water from a sippy cup
• Army crawl
• Wave

For those of you following along, I take a photo shoot of Blake each month. I can usually do it alone, if Eric is unavailable... I think those days are gone. He wouldn't hold still for a second!

Blake's first Valentine's Day was a hit! He enjoyed all the cards and gifts from his grandparents.

Blake is 8 Months Old

Blake is now 8 months old, and doing great. He continues to be a happy and healthy boy.

Over the last month, Blake has:

• Cut his first tooth (on the bottom, left)
• Started eating more finger foods...Bailey is very happy about this:)
• Continued to absolutely love the bath. I think we have a water baby on our hands!
